We don't believe great music needs

don't believe people should have to
fit neatly into a box.
Our sound draws from folk, country,
rock, pop, and other musical
influences, shaped by the stories we want to tell and the emotions we
want to share. Some songs will make you think. Some might make you feel seen. Others might make you sing
along, laugh, reflect, or find a little
hope.
We make music for real people living real lives. Wherever you've been,

Our
Story
Who we are
We're Heather and Jen, the married songwriting duo behind Mid Life Reverie. Our musical journey grew out of a shared love of music, a life built together, and the realization that the things we wanted to say often found their way into songs.
Music has been part of our lives in different ways for as long as we can remember. From choir, violin, musical theater, and worship leading to cello, classical guitar, and years of playing together, we've each brought our own experiences and influences to the music we make.
Somewhere along the way, guitar riffs became lyrics, voice memos became song ideas, and scraps of paper became stories we wanted to share. What started as a creative outlet grew into something bigger: a way to explore life, make sense of the world around us, and connect with people we might never otherwise meet.
We follow the story, not the genre.
We love music that makes you feel something. That might mean a folk-inspired melody, a country-tinged story, a rock edge, a pop sensibility, or an unexpected combination of influences. We don't want to limit a song before we've discovered what it needs to become.
Our music explores love, relationships, faith, doubt, joy, grief, resilience, and the contradictions that make life interesting. We try to approach those subjects with honesty, curiosity, and a little bit of humor when the moment calls for it.
We don't have all the answers. We're just people trying to pay attention, ask better questions, and turn some of what we discover into music.
We are fortunate to have a talented group of musicians who play and create with us.

Our belief in storytelling goes hand in hand with our belief in belonging.
